Lytchett Minster School is a unique and versatile setting for your special day. There are four completely different areas that have been licensed for Civil Ceremonies; something to suit every taste:
The Gallery
Set in the heart of our 18th Century Manor House, the oak-panelled Gallery can be laid out to accommodate a long aisle, or with seating arranged to create a more intimate ceremony. As well a featuring an original fireplace and sweeping staircase, this area, uniquely, has an extensive balcony which can be used for live music, or for additional space for guests to view the ceremony from above.
The Secret Garden
Ideal for an al fresco ceremony, our Secret Garden is the perfect setting for the more intimate gathering. Originally used to grow pineapples, our Secret Garden has been re-landscaped by Chelsea Flower Show Award Winner, Nick Williams-Ellis. The walled aspect to the garden creates a sheltered area which also provides ideal acoustics for live music.
The Terrace
Open air ceremonies are perfectly located against the backdrop of our 18th Century Manor House with bride and groom under the archway and guests seated on the extensive lawn. This spacious area features fantastic photo opportunities with the original stone steps leading up to the house and mature cedar of Lebanon trees.
The Dining Hall
For the more intimate indoor gathering, the Dining Hall is a unique oak-panelled room with original fireplace feature. With its high ceiling and views out to the gardens, this room has a light and spacious air to it.
